The Electric Surge Protection Device-DPS is the device recommended by the ABNT5410 and 5419 standards to protect electrical installations and electronic equipment against surges, overvoltages or direct or indirect transients. The origin of the surges can be through utility maneuvers, activation of inductive loads, atmospheric discharges or another factor that can generate surges in the electrical network.
